3 Ways to Workout with Kids!

Hello, beautiful mommies and daddies!
I’m glad you have taken interest in your health. I know it’s easy to get discouraged because you might have small kids and no time for yourself. Believe, I’ve been there! However, it’s possible to get back in shape even with little ones around. The most important part is consistency.

I have included three great tips that I’ve tried and have worked for me.

1. Take advantage of Kids Clubs at the gym

A lot of gyms now offer day care for their members.

We use LA Fitness and they have 2 hours daycare for $10/month per child. Research your local gym to see if they have something similar.

2. Wakeup early or workout during nap time.

I did this for quite sometime, but it took a while to get there. Depending on your situation, you can wakeup an hour earlier and enjoy the quite time to workout.

There are a lot of free workouts on YouTube that you can follow along. I like to alternate weightlifting workouts with yoga.

It’s okay if you’re a beginner and cannot do the exercises full out. Stand infront of the mirror and focus on your form. With time you will get better.

In addition, you can start without any equipment until you build the habit of working out. Later on, you can check second hand store or Offer Up for deals on weights, bands or other equipment you might need.

3. Make your kids  a part of your workout

If they are infants you can use them as weights and follow mommy and me workouts.

Older kids can join you and attempt to follow the routine.

Remember, 0It’s never too early to install good habits in them.

I’ve even seen some mommies place their gym in the playroom and train while their kids play around them.

You can also go hiking with them, you can do yoga on the beach, or exercise in the park while they play. Don’t limit yourself. There’s are endless possibilities to stay active when you have kids.
